14:00-16:00
Simonis
An Claeys will take you to retrace the steps of the builders of the Northwest of Brussels, along the railroad line 28, from the Elisabeth Park to Tour & Taxis. Find out more about the history of public spaces where neighbors rolled up their sleeves to create urban projects answering collective needs, often in collaboration with local authorities and experts. The walk is also an invitation to share “cocottes bruxelloises” recipes.
An Claeys, philologist, has actively contributed to several Brussels multilingual project on active pedagogy, tourism, and citizen participation for over 15 years. She is fascinated by the plentiful stories of women who took down barriers and co-built projects in their neighborhoods.
