Queerizing architecture, rerouting our relationship to space – Workshop with Léa Brami (Pia Pia) & Mahé Cordier-Jouanne (IHCRA)

14:00-18:00 Tour à Plomb (classroom)

The spaces we live in, travel through, and use, are not neutral. They are the result of gendered norms that, in turn, translate a balance of power and domination. By highlighting the importance of women and LGBTQIA+ people who worked to bring about alternative thinking on architecture and the city, this workshop is an opportunity to raise awareness on our relation to space and to reveal how they drive bodies according to their own norms.

Pia Pia, an association for LGBTQIA+ people whose intent is to give queer narratives and cultures more visibility is joining forces with IHCRA, the flip side of ARCHI, a collective working to improve equity and diversity in the construction of our environments.
