Guided tour
Matrimony Days 2022

14:00-15:30 Royal Chapel

Join us on a guided walk through Brussels highlighting the fascinating literary link between Brussels and the best-selling writers Emily and Charlotte Brontë (the authors of classics as Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and Villette) who lived in Brussels in 1842-43. During this historical tour, people will be given a broad overview of the sisters' life in the Belgian capital of the time and discover parts of the city that they knew and explore how they have changed.

The Brussels Brontë Group was founded by Helen MacEwan in 2006 to promote interest in the Brontës and their time in Brussels. The Group organises talks, bookclubs, guided walks and other events. Our members include people of a wide range of nationalities who are interested in the works and lives of the Brontës.
