Tour of the CALICO Women Accommodation Project with the Angela D. Association
CALICO (Care and Living in Community), co-funded by the UIA (Urban Innovative Action) European Fund is an innovative housing project carried forward by 10 partners in Brussels. It consists of 34 accommodations built around three grouped environments held by CLTB, Pass-ages and AngelaD. All accommodations will be built on Community Land Trust’s land. This program can provide housing that is and will remain affordable. The tour will let you rediscover CALICO’s common spaces and meet residents and the project leaders, and to question the place of gender in housing. What happens when care is at the core of a housing project?
Angela.D is an association where women offer housing access solutions to all. Together they create a living space where solidarity, a sense of community, the exchange of knowledge and skills, and the importance of the place of women in the neighborhood, the city, and society are expressed. The visit will be led by administrators of the association as well as residents of the project.
