Workshop visit of the art restorer Louise Füeg

Guided tour
Matrimony Season 2021/22
14:00-16:00 Restoration workshop

Louise Füeg, restorer, will take you to discover her restoration workshop (painting, ceramics, old books). She will specifically present the restoration of paintings with the example of a painting: analysis of alterations, their causes and the means to treat them. She will also address different themes related to her profession: What is heritage? What is the role of the curator, restorer? What ethics should be applied? How to work? With whom to collaborate? What difficulties to face?

Louise Füeg, who graduated from ENSAV La Cambre in 2016, has been working as a freelance restorer since 2018 after training in art framing with Brussels craftsmen and then perfecting her skills in painting restoration at the Institute of Conservation Restoration of Valencia and the Royal Institute of Artistic Heritage in Brussels.
