Summer Matrimony 2020| In Etterbeek, eleven streets bearing the name of actors of the colonization, were symbolically and temporarily renamed on June 15, 2020. Colonel Van Gele Street will be called Marie Popelin Street (1846-1913), the first woman doctor of law (ULB). Leopoldville Square is renamed Marie Muilu Kiawanga Square (1880-1959), "Maman Marie", Congolese resistance fighter, ... These educational and feminist walks (2 different itineraries are to be discovered!) will be accompanied by a leaflet with a map of the street signs and a biography of the women featured.
