Goals

Matrimony Days shines the spotlight on women’s part in Brussels’ heritage, both past – architectural, sculptural, urban and social – and present – artistic, political and feminist.

As well as exploring women’s* heritage in Brussels, which all too often tends to be sidelined, the programme takes a cross-disciplinary approach to the fundamental issue of access to property ownership and related professions for women and minorities in workshops conducted by experts and guided tours led by specialists. The entire programme thus provides an opportunity to take stock of the participation of women* and minorities in the many professions related to women’s* heritage.

MAKE MATRIMONY

The Matrimony Season features more than thirty activities throughout the year. The programme includes guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and a growing body of material that introduces people to our female heritage. The idea is to work consistently to raise awareness and educate the public about women’s* heritage.
